Thank you Kat!! Ahh I have no idea what I'm doing yet, but it's so fun! 
I'll have to get more used to it as time goes on, and I figure out what all this stuff means-- badges, notes, feedback messages, yada yada. Hahhaha!

O yes, with the llama badge you may have seen pop up in your messages, they are free to give to any deviant :3 Its an extra little thing to build up to get fancier llamas XD like on my profile at the top, in the right hand corner, i has a 'King Llama' because i have been given lots of llamas
So the more you get, the more spectacular your llama will be xD
A second tip: Have you split your messages? So you can see individual messages in your bar, like 'notes' 'bulletins' 'messages' etc. Just makes it easier to look and see what is what :3
One last thing: Becoming a 'premium' member can make your profile look prettier, by using code. It costs money or points to become a premium member, but its up to you if you want to ^_^
Just explore the menu bars and it will become easier
